Greetings!
As we wrap up the month of January and kick into gear on finishes - construction and new house plans on the design-build front, I am thrilled to share my Yoga offerings for the month of February. Please note a few changes. For example: my Yoga class times, name and description:
Hatha Yoga with Tehroma:
Wednesdays 8am - 9am
Saturdays 8am - 9am
In each one of my February Yoga classes, I will be offering variations of Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) or Chandra Namaskar (moon salutations). Connection with the breath, mindful transitions, intentional pauses, as well as inspirational readings will continue to be part of each practice.
Ha (meaning sun) and tha (meaning moon) is a practice in balancing the solar and lunar energies within us, the yin and yang, the gentle and strong, the femenine and masculine. Reverence to the outer sun, as well as inner sunlight and fire: the heart. Reverence to the outer moon, as well as reflective qualities and ability to navigate within: the moon. Pausing throughout our practice offers time and space to assimilate and integrate. Balance and integration of all the parts that make up a whole being lead to wellbeing.
Hatha Yoga is a meditative approach to the moment, breath, physical posture, state of the heart and mind, depth of soul - all with the intention of creating balance between the solar and lunar energies within each one of us. Hatha can be soft and slow, powerful and strong, and all the places in between - all depending on where the practitioner is or what is needed to create balance, in a given moment, day or season. As always, I plan and adapt each class to offer something for everyone who attends on a given day. I will continue to encourage deep listening within and modifying when necessary. Every session is intended to create connection.
All Yoga that includes physical poses is based on Hatha Yoga.
Please note: I plan to re-open a 9:30am Class in the month of March, so please stay tuned for changes or additions to the schedule each month.
One more thing - I now have a studio schedule of evening Yoga classes offered in Spanish with the intention of making Yoga more accessible to the local community. Feel free to inquire if you know someone who might be interested. These are classes I will be teaching, as well.
